Glen Boehmer

 

Accessible, passionate, trustworthy and friend are words best used to describe the CEO of Sentinel, Glen Boehmer.

With over 30 years in print, he has served people and companies around the globe create effective print campaigns. Boehmer believes in relationships more than transactions and has built a network of friendships that transcends business.

“A business thrives because of the relationships it creates and we are grateful at Sentinel for the opportunity to serve others and make lifelong friendships,” says Boehmer. “I have been given a responsibility to nurture and grow a family business and I’m thankful for all those, with whom I have enjoyed the ride.”

From the days of typography and offset to the days of variable data and web-to-print, Boehmer has steered the help of Sentinel to innovative and fascinating methods to place images on substrates.

Throughout the journey he has served his industry and community in many ways. In the early days he and his wife of 28 years, Janet, served others through their time with Rotary and the Gift of Life. As his children grew, he grew with them by coaching soccer for more than 20 years (eventually finishing his coaching years as a high school coach). He has given himself and his time by serving in many organizations including: PIA, DMALI, ACIT, Rotary, Hempstead Chamber of Commerce, West Hempstead Chamber of Commerce, West Hempstead Chiefs, West Hempstead Little League, TEC, Long Island Lutheran and the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Because of his commitment to the business community Boehmer has received numerous honors, most recently by being inducted into the DMALI Hall of Fame in October of 2015.

If you’ve met Boehmer, you will know that his passions go beyond print. He has many hobbies including gardening, hockey, golf and the American Civil War.
